Paper Doll Pocket Card

Welcome Friends!

Welcome to my blog which will feature cards and scrapbook pages that I have created. I hope you will find inspiration and enjoyment in what you see here.

For my first project I am featuring a card made with the paper doll stamp from Close To My Heart. I found this little girl so delightful I thought it might be a good first attempt at fun cards to make. Please feel free to leave comments or ask questions below.

Enjoy and Come back often.

1). Lay a 12 x 5 1/2 inch piece of balloon ride printed paper with balloons facing down; score vertically 4 inches from right side and 4 inches from left side.

2). Beginning at top of each score line, cut 1 1/2 inches down on each fold. From where the cut stops, cut outward and down in a diagonal line from there to the adjacent bottom corner, forming pointed flaps.

3) Measure or trace the flaps on to the crackled design paper. I made by crackled flaps just slightly smaller than the original flaps to give them a matted look. Adhere crackled design flaps to flaps on card.

4).Fold flaps to center, overlapping flaps. Adhere bottom edge of flaps and pointed of flaps to form pocket. Round off the upper corners of pocket.

5). Wrap a 9 by 1 1/5 inch strip of Juniper paper around pocket 1 /2 inch from bottom, over lapping ends on back. Adhere to pocket. Center and adhere a 4 /1/2 inch x 1 5/8 inch strip of printed paper to Juniper paper strip.

6) Using a dimensional adhere flower to center strip.

7) Adhere enamel dots to center of each “square” leading up to flower.

8). Stamp, color and fussy cut the paper doll and outfits and insert in pocket.
